Olivia Koppanyi joined the Royal Winnipeg Ballet Company as an Apprentice in 2025 and was promoted to Company Artist in 2026. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, she began her training at Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School at the age of ten. She progressed through the Ballet Academic Program, graduating with distinction in 2023, and went on to spend two years in the Anna McCowan‑Johnson Aspirant Program, further developing her artistry while gaining valuable experience performing alongside the RWB Company.
During her time at the School, Koppanyi performed in Company productions including Giselle, Jekyll & Hyde, Romeo & Juliet, and Nutcracker. She represented the RWB School at the Assemblée Internationale 2023 hosted by Canada’s National Ballet School and participated in the 2024 Prix de Lausanne Choreographic Project. She has received numerous scholarships and awards, including the Arnold Spohr Scholarship, IG Wealth Management Financial Confidence Scholarship, Arlene Minkhorst Scholarship, Rose and Berel Shalom Memorial Scholarship, and the Millicent Rockwell Donnelly Bursary.
