Located in the heart of downtown Winnipeg, our campus brings together world-class training facilities, student housing, academic partnerships, and wellness supports in one inspiring environment designed specifically for dancers. Students benefit from a unique connection to Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet, gaining insight into professional dance while pursuing their own artistic goals.
The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School offers more than exceptional dance training. It provides a vibrant community where students live, learn, and grow as artists and individuals.
The Campus
At the centre of the campus is the Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s state-At the heart of the campus is RWB’s purpose-built facility, home to both the RWB Company and RWB School. Eleven professional dance studios, a flexible 220-seat performance space, an on-site physiotherapy clinic, student lounges, change rooms and other dedicated spaces create an environment designed around the needs of dancers.
Sharing a home with the professional Company gives students a unique window into life as a working artist, with opportunities to observe rehearsals and experience the creative process up close.
Student Living Centre
For students from across Canada and around the world, the Student Living Centre is directly connected to RWB School studios, and gives students a welcoming place to call home while they train.
The five-storey residence accommodates up to 100 students during the academic year, with single and double rooms, dedicated spaces for studying and spending time together, outdoor greenspace, nutritious meals, kitchenettes and laundry facilities. Around-the-clock supervision and support provide structure and care while giving students room to develop independence.
More than a place to live, the Student Living Centre is a community where students build friendships, develop life skills and experience student life alongside others who share their passion for dance.
Living on campus is a great bonding experience where you build lifelong friendships. It's a great learning experience that teaches responsibility and independence.
