The André Lewis Choreography Endowment
New choreography keeps dance moving forward. It gives artists room to explore, invites audiences to experience something unexpected, and creates opportunities for new voices and ideas to take the stage. The André Lewis Choreography Endowment provides permanent support for the creation of new work at RWB. The fund supports opportunities for dancers and students to work with established and emerging choreographers, explore new ways of moving and creating, and grow as artists. From early experimentation and mentorship to ambitious new productions, the endowment gives RWB the freedom to invest in what comes next. The André Lewis Choreography Endowment builds on the important foundation of the RWB Creations Endowment Fund, which provides vital support for artistic creation. Together, these funds strengthen the RWB’s ability to invest in new full-length ballets and shorter, exploratory works; support Canadian choreographers and creative collaborators; and bring fresh artistic experiences to audiences in Winnipeg and beyond.
