Taina Morales Núñez

Principal Guest Teacher and Pedagogy Lecturer

Taina Morales Núñez is an internationally experienced ballet pedagogue, rehearsal director, coach, and former professional dancer. Born in Cuba and trained at the National Ballet School of Cuba, she danced for ten years with the National Ballet of Cuba, attaining the rank of Soloist, before continuing her performing career internationally.

 

Her teaching and coaching career has included work with Boston Ballet, English National Ballet School, the Royal Danish Ballet and Royal Danish Ballet School, École Supérieure de Ballet du Québec, the Norwegian National Academy of the Arts (KHiO), Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, and other international institutions. She has coached students, professional dancers, Soloists, and Principal dancers in major classical repertoire and was recognized as YAGP Outstanding Coach in Brussels in 2014.

 

During three seasons at Boston Ballet as Rehearsal Director and Senior Ballet Pedagogue, Morales coached professional dancers and contributed to major productions including Raymonda, Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Cinderella, and The Dream. She also collaborated with the Physical Therapy Department, providing individualized ballet coaching to injured dancers as they progressed from clinical rehabilitation back to ballet class, rehearsals, and performance. Her pedagogical approach combines rigorous classical technique, musicality, artistry, and an individualized understanding of each dancer, with particular expertise in professional dancer development, injury recovery, and a safe, technically secure return to the stage.
