Gabriella Janus joined the RWB School Faculty in 2022 and teaches ballet and creative movement.

 

Born in Winnipeg, Ms. Janus began her dance training in the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School Recreational Division at the age of three with Nicole Kepp, Katrin Benedictson and Kelly Bale. She has trained in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, modern, tap and musical theatre.

 

Ms. Janus is working towards completing her Cecchetti Associate Exam in the RWB School Teacher Training Program and has completed the Deaf Arts Manitoba – New Rhythm Dance Teacher Certificate. She is currently a student at the University of Winnipeg working towards a Bachelor of Arts in French Studies with a Minor in Dance. As a student in the recreational Division, Ms. Janus received the Teaching Assistant Award as well as the Kally Kennedy Scholarship while in the Teacher Training Program.

 

As a student of the RWB School, Ms. Janus had the opportunity to visit New York and take classes at the Broadway Dance Centre, Alvin Ailey and ABT and she carries this inspiration with her into her teaching.
