Bio
From student to teacher, Magdalena McGregor’s connection to the RWB School spans decades. Starting her training at just three years old, she now inspires the next generation as a member of the Artistic Faculty teaching students of all ages in creative movement, ballet, and jazz. Ms. McGregor received her flamenco training at Centro de Baile Jerez in Spain and holds accreditation from the International Music and Performing Arts Examination Board of London for the Spanish Dance Society’s Nivel Cinco Examination.
She began teaching at the RWB School in 2018 and has also been an instructor at the Brandon School of Dance Summer Intensive Program. As a student in the RWB School’s Intensive Training Program from 2010 to 2018, she performed with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra in A Chorus Line and took part in performances at the Winnipeg Art Gallery for the premiere of its Picasso exhibition.
Ms. McGregor’s dedication and talent have been recognized through several prestigious scholarships, including the Jean Mackenzie Scholarship, the Assistant Teaching Scholarship (2017), and the Senior National Scholarship at the Manitoba Dance Festival, which she received on three occasions.
