Bio
Originally from Bochum, Germany, Elena Maria Broeckelmann began her dance training at the age of three at a local RAD ballet school in her hometown. With a lifelong passion for movement, she has studied a range of dance styles, including Classical Ballet, Character Dance, and Ballroom/Latin, under the guidance of esteemed mentors such as Elizabeth Steib, Ingrid Sostarich, and Chloe Davenport.
Ms. Broeckelmann brings a deep appreciation for both the artistry and discipline of dance to her teaching. Holding a coaching license in Ballroom and Latin dance, she joined the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School as an instructor in January 2020. She is particularly passionate about creating an inclusive and uplifting environment in the studio, ensuring that every dancer, regardless of ability, can experience the transformative power of movement.
For Ms. Broeckelmann, the magic of dance has always been about energy and connection. Whether on stage, in the rehearsal studio, or in the classroom. She finds profound inspiration in her work with RWB’s ExplorAbility program, where music and movement unite to create moments of joy, self-expression, and boundless possibility. Witnessing her students’ enthusiasm and dedication reaffirms her belief that dance is for everyone and that the studio is a space where all dancers can shine.
