Bio

Rafe Perry joined the Royal Winnipeg Ballet in 2023 as an Apprentice after training in the RWB School’s Professional Division. He made his debut with the RWB Company in Angelin Prelojocaj’s Snow White.

Notable roles for Rafe include Prince Siegfried while performing excerpts from Swan Lake in the RWB School’s Concert Hour Ballet.

Hailing from Comox, British Columbia, Rafe began dancing at the age of 12 at Pantuso Dance in the Comox Valley. He then spent four years training in the RWB School Professional Division’s Ballet Academic Program with esteemed faculty members. In his time as a student in the Ballet Academic Program, Rafe was awarded the prestigious Prince Edward Award during the 2022-2023 school year.

When he’s not dancing, Rafe enjoys playing piano – Debussy and Chopin are his favourite composers. If he’s not being a beach bum on his paddle board, you can find him reading fantasy and sci-fi novels.

Rafe hopes to one day dance the roles of Lensky in Onegin or Des Grieux in Manon.
