Bio

Born in North Carolina and raised in Grimsby, Ontario, Maggie Weatherdon began her ballet journey after moving to Canada at the age of five. She discovered her passion for dance during a summer intensive with Neglia Ballet in Buffalo, New York, where she trained for six years. Maggie’s talent was recognized on a global stage when she competed in the USA International Ballet Competition (IBC) in 2018 and the prestigious Prix de Lausanne in 2020. Her exceptional performance earned her a scholarship to the RWB School’s Anna McCowan-Johnson Aspirant Program, where she trained for two additional years.

In 2022, Maggie made her debut with the RWB Company as an Apprentice and was promoted to the Corps de Ballet in 2023. Last season, she took on her first lead role as the Evil Queen in Snow White and was thrilled to perform in the Company’s production of Swan Lake.

Outside of dance, Maggie loves attending live music performances or staying in to knit and crochet. Now in her second season as a member of the Corps de Ballet, she continues to bring her dedication and artistry to the stage, always aspiring to one day perform her dream role as Kitri in Don Quixote.
