Bio

Amanda Solheim was promoted to Second Soloist in 2024, marking a significant milestone in her career. She joined the Royal Winnipeg Ballet as an Apprentice in 2019, following her training in the RWB School’s Anna McCowan-Johnson Aspirant Program, and advanced to the Corps de Ballet in 2020.

Throughout her time with the Company, Amanda has performed featured roles such as Clara and the Sugar Plum Fairy in Nutcracker, Tinkerbell in Peter Pan, Fairy Godmother in  Val Caniparoli’s A Cinderella Story, and Moira in The Handmaid’s Tale: Based on the Novel by Margaret Atwood.

Originally from Surrey, British Columbia, Amanda began dancing at age four, training at Pacific Dance Arts before joining the RWB School. Her journey has been shaped by her passion for ballet and the thrill of performing alongside dancers she continues to admire.

Her heroes are her parents, who have supported her every step of the way. Back home in Vancouver, she loves spending time with her lab, Milo.
