The RWB School Dance Ensembles provide a unique opportunity for participating students to be involved in various performance opportunities throughout the year. Upon a successful audition or invitation process, students will learn choreography created by RWB School artistic faculty, including award winning choreographers. These new works will be performed in festivals and competitions. Students may also have exclusive opportunities to perform with other Winnipeg arts and culture organizations.

Dance Ensembles are offered in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, musical theatre, as well as within the Intensive Training Program. RWB School Dance Ensemble alumni have gone onto careers on Broadway, Rainbow Stage and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre and have continued their education with the RWB Professional Division, Arts Umbrella, Goh Ballet, Alberta Ballet, Boston Conservatory, and the School of Contemporary Dancers.

Audition Information

Auditions for the 2024-25 Dance Ensembles are now complete. Students interested in our Dance Ensembles are asked to contact the School Office at school@rwb.org to arrange an assessment opportunity.

Reference our levels of programming for your genre to understand which programs your child may be eligible for. Please note that level designations per program may change based on scheduling needs.

Ages do not always coincide with the level of programming and are included to provide new students direction regarding the level they may be considered for.
