Bio

Born in Calgary, Alberta, and raised in Ancaster, Ontario, Julianna Generoux joined the Royal Winnipeg Ballet as a Company Apprentice in 2022 and was promoted to the Corps de Ballet in 2023.

At the age of 10, Julianna returned to Alberta and pursued her passion for ballet at the Alberta Ballet School, training in both the Recreational and Professional Divisions. In 2016, she was accepted into the Ballet Academic Program at the RWB School and spent two years in the Anna McCowan-Johnson Aspirant Program after graduation.

From Hamilton City Ballet to the RWB stage, Julianna has made her mark in the professional ballet world, performing the famed pas de deux from Coppélia in the RWB School’s On the Edge and dancing with the Company in Nutcracker and The Sleeping Beauty. Notable recent roles include Tall Swans in Swan Lake and Cat/Gargouille in Snow White.

Her dream is to one day perform as Myrtha in Giselle, a role she admires for its strong, complex character that offers both a technical and physical challenge for dancers.

If she weren’t a dancer, Julianna would channel her creativity into fashion design, with a particular passion for textiles and the artistry behind fabric and design.
