SUMMARY STATEMENT

The primary responsibility of the Box Office CSR is to deliver an exceptional customer service experience. This position is relied upon to process and issue tickets quickly and efficiently without compromising the Royal Winnipeg Ballet promises of an exceptional customer experience. Accurate data entry skills are required when entering client information into the database for reporting purposes. Success in this position requires the ability to multi-task, attention to detail, ability to solve problems, effective time management and excellent customer service skills.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide superior customer service to multiple customers
  • Assist in the day to day operation of the box office
  • Process subscribe orders by mail or in person, process credit card payments, allocate seating, correspond with subscribers on seating choices
  • Contribute to a positive work environment
  • Assist management in selling merchandise and conducting seasonal inventories
  • Respond to inquiries, follow up on outstanding issues and provide solutions for customers
  • Communicate current and future promotions to customers and upsell future shows
  • Support all Front of House activities as requested
  • Perform various clerical tasks and assist with promotional mailings
  • Security awareness of visitors in the reception area, greet all visitors to establish purpose of visit
  • Other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS

The Box Office is a fast paced environment that requires daily contact with customers via phone, email and in person. This position utilizes computers, phones equipped with headsets and a computerized ticketing system on a regular basis. Day, evening and weekend shift availability is required for this role.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum two years related Box Office or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
  • Cash handling experience
  • Experience with a ticketing database
  • Strong computer skills and troubleshooting abilities
  • Experience in ticket sales is an asset
  • Clear Criminal Background Check
  • Clear Child Abuse Registry Check
