There are many different ways to help the RWB maintain its standing as a leading ballet company on the world stage.
With ticket sales accounting for less than half of the real cost of staging performances, annual donations and sponsorships allow the RWB to produce outstanding ballets that meet the high standards our audiences have come to expect.
Gifts to the RWB's Endowment Fund ensure that the Company and the RWB School will continue to flourish for the enjoyment of future generations of dance lovers. Because gifts to the Endowment Fund are held in perpetuity a lasting legacy of support is ensured for creating new ballets, refurbishing current repertoire and supporting young artists in their development.
Donations of cash are still the most common way to give although gifts of publicly traded securities can offer greater tax advantages since the elimination of the capital gains tax.
Deferred or planned gifts in the form of bequests, charitable remainder trusts or life insurance can also be a good way for donors to realize their philanthropic objectives.
