On Wednesday, February 23rd, RWB was thrilled to host The Wonderland Collection: A Fashion Show Event Inspired by RWB’s Newest Creation featuring original costumes by Anne Armit and the RWB Wardrobe Department, make-up designs by MAC Cosmetics, and Company dancers on the runway. Wonderland choreographer Shawn Hounsell was joined along the Cheshire catwalk  by the who’s-who of Winnipeg’s style scene and members of the media for this mash-up of ballet meets fantasy meets haute couture.  Popular jewelry designer Hilary Druxman was also in attendance to officially launch a custom-designed charm inspired by Wonderland.

Following the fashion show, Jeff Herd, RWB’s Executive Director, announced the RWB’s 72nd anniversary season in Winnipeg on behalf of RWB's Artistic Director André Lewis. A perfect blend of old and new repertoire, classical and contemporary styles, familiar artists and new faces, the RWB’s 2011-2012 season will touch the hearts and minds of Winnipeg audiences.
