Letters From Ottawa

In December 2013, Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet in collaboration with The National Arts Centre’s Dance department, presented a weeklong dance education and outreach residency. As the RWB Company toured to Ottawa to perform Nutcracker, current Ballet Master, Jaime Vargas, travelled to six local Ottawa area public schools and dance studios to deliver subsidised workshops and ballet classes for 366 students.

Overall, a total of 608 students were able to take part in RWB and NAC Dance Outreach and Education activities in conjunction with RWB’s Nutcracker performances.
