Winnipeg, Manitoba (December 22, 2010) - It's been a very busy day today at The Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Dancers and staff are busily preparing for opening night of Nutcracker, and we had several important guests in the building today as well.
First, the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba stopped by. We'd like to extend our sincerest thanks to the Jewish Foundation for their
generous support of our 70th Anniversary Tour to Israel.

Our second guest was Blue Bomber and Winnipeg Harvest Hunger for Hope Spokesperson, Luke Fritz. CBC Television did a short interview with Mr. Fritz at the RWB building about his upcoming walk-on role in Nutcracker. Keep your eyes peeled for him on Boxing Day, December 26th, 7pm.

And last but not least, we have Laurie Lockhart, the winner of our Winnipeg Free Press contest. She was so delighted to have won! What a treat for the holiday season! Congratulations Laurie!

Winnipeg, Manitoba (December 21, 2010) - This past weekend, The Royal Winnipeg Ballet Dancers and Staff gathered at Winnipeg Harvest to donate their time by helping put together hampers for Winnipeg families in need.
The RWB is proud to be partnered with Winnipeg Harvest during this Holiday season.

Every year, RWB invites local celebrities and members of the media to step into the Party Scene of Nutcracker. Previous Nutcracker walk-on roles have been performed by Winnipeg personalities Chris Walby, former Winnipeg Blue Bomber, Gary Doer, former Premier of Manitoba, and Sylvia Kuzyk, CTV Entertainment Correspondent, to name just a few. This year, RWB will support Winnipeg Harvest and their commitment to raising public awareness of hunger while working towards long-term solutions to hunger and poverty by inviting the organization onto our stage and into our ballet. We are pleased to announce the following Winnipeg Harvest VIPs will perform walk-on roles in RWB’s Nutcracker this year:
