Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Anna O’Callaghan started her professional training at Pacific DanceArts under the instruction of Li Yaming. She joined the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School’s Aspirant Program in 2010 and was invited to join the Corps de Ballet in 2012.
Since joining the RWB, O’Callaghan has danced in world-renowned choreographer Twyla Tharp’s The Princess & The Goblin, The Sleeping Beauty, Moulin Rouge® – The Ballet, Giselle, The Doorway, In Tandem and Mauricio Wainrot’s Carmina Burana.
O’Callaghan attended the Boston Ballet, American Ballet Theatre and Banff Centre’s summer programs. Her performance repertoire includes the pas de deuxs from Swan Lake, Raymonda, and Diana and Acteon. She has performed in George Balanchine’s Scotch Symphony and Concerto Barocco, Christopher Wheeldon’s Souvenirs, Bejart’s Greek Dances, the lead in La Vivandiere, and grand pas de deux from Le Corsaire.
